And why is it blowing freezing cold air into my cabin?

Felt a very cool draft coming from behind the dash, pulled the glovebox out and found this thing. Is there supposed to be a hose or plug in it? was -36 driving back 6 hours from the airport and my windows kept developing frost on the inside.

All other vents seem to pump out hot air as they should.. just this weird cluster thing in the back seems to be giving me issues.

Phoenix & Zoomlater Thanks! SuperHO :smash:

That picture wasn't clear so I took one farther back, the mythical white hose does exist, so maybe its something else.

That is part of the blower motor resistor, the white hose does not connect to that. It is open on my car as well.

I assume that it reads the temp of the outside air, and then determines how high to run the blower, when in auto mode.

I believe you are somewhat right but I "think" theres a sensor thats hooked to that to read cabin temps.

Wicked, thanks Kevin!

Now I just need to figure out why its blowing extremely high volumes of outside air through the resistor. Will keep you posted with what I find.

Can someone possibly drop their glove box and set their climate control to defrost and let me know if you have air blowing out of that hole or not please? :naughty: You don't need any tools.. just push the sides of the glovebox inward and push down.

It's pretty ********, its got to the point where I'm almost going to have to park the car till I can get this fixed the visibility is so bad.
