Hey all,

okay this morning got in my car and it started up fine, but then like two hours later tryed to start it and it wouldn't start, so checked codes and came up with *556 Fuel pump primary circuit failure*-->*543 Fuel pump secondary circuit failure*--> & a *122 TP sensor circuit below minimum voltage*... the first two are because the car died right? and would the TP sensor cause it not to start at all? also is there any codes sent if the DIS module on the side of the intake goes bad? just wondering.

Thanks all, I really don't know what is going on, it runs great, except some times on start up it wouldn't idle right.

Unless you unplugged your TPS while the car was running at one time, you probably need a new TPS. No, the TPS would not prevent the engine from starting. You need to check to see if the fuel pump is running. The 543 is normal for an engine that was stalled, but the 556 may indicate that the ICRM (integrated control relay module) above the radiator or the fuel pump itself has grown too old to trust. Turn the ignition key to ON (do not start) and listen for the click from the relay above the radiator and the 1.5 second whine from the fuel pump in the tank. Do this as many times as it takes to hear the noises. If no click, then ICRM. If click and no whine, then fuel pump.

sdpatt,

the fule pump is whining, do I still need to check for the click above the radiator? I'll have to wait until I can get some help before I can listen for the clicking sound under the hood. also if I cleared the codes from the memory, if I had a faulty TPS then it would send the code again wouldn't it? I do believe that after I changed the water pump and CPS I did'nt connect one of the sensors before starting it, I don't konw which one though, wouldn't idle though. about an two hours after I made my post I went out and it still wouldn't start, but it sort of sputtered, so I floored it and it started up and then ran and idled fine, any idea what would cause this?

Thanks again,

K.Boyd
