wont start help me !!!!

OK so i come out of work and try to start my car and the thing dosent turn over so i look at the dash lights they are dark so i get a new battery after trying a jumpstart which didnt work after i get the new battery in it still dosent turn over but i am now able to pop the clutch to start it and it runs fine but i still cant start the car with the key whats the problem i have searched the forum and found only a few things to check . Any ideas ?

Sounds like the starter or and issue getting power to the starter. You should check all your connections from your battery all the way to the starter, make sure that they are clean and snug. If its still a no go you could remove the starter from the car and test it with some booster cables to see if its working correctly.

Do you hear any clicks, relays, anything when you turn the key "on" and try to start it? -if not, could be the ignition (key) switch... What year is your SHO? Do you have an Autozone nearby? I've heard they can perform certain minor ignition-type checks such as alternator, battery, etc.

Faulty battery cable. Pay particular attention to the negative cable under the starter.
