Hi,
Having some trouble starting my '90 SHO.
Began a couple days ago, when I stalled it pulling out in reverse (didnt give it enough gas when releasing the clutch and it stalled). It then refused to start, cranking but not starting. I let it rest for a couple minutes and then it fired right up.
Later that night it fired right up again when starting, and so I thought the problem was solved.
But, the next day it would only crank but no start, and has been like this for past couple days. I also charged the battery, so that should be ok.
Engine codes are 11, which is normal.
Check engine light stays on while it cranks. Tach bumps up to ~200 while cranking.
Any suggestions? If it is the CPS, how much can I expect to pay to have a mechanic (not ford dealer mechanic, but local guy that I mostly trust) install the CPS?
