ANyways, i could NOT figure out how to remove the AC lines, so they got cut, i dont have AC- never will again!! :rant: Will there be any consecunses from that?? HOPE NOT :confused: I also took out the gauge sending unit and installed my own Water Temp gauge, nuttin will happen from that being gone right?? and then replaced the ECT sensor, hope that solves part of my problem!!...SORRY so long but i did alot today and wanna make sure that nuttin bad happens NOW :madflame: My biggest concern is the AC lines...thanx

Yeah that's not a fun job. I did it once in a Sable and it took a whole weekend. There's a set of tools available for like $10 to disconnect them, the same ones used to disconnect fuel lines. It's a set of 5 or 6 plastic rings that fit around the lines and you slide them into the connection to release the spring. Any auto store should have them but I guess it's a little late. :) You'd have to replace both lines to get the a/c working again.

It's not gonna start leakin anti-freeze or screwing anything up right??..the disconnected AC lines that is??..i bought the rings...but the AC lines WERE NOT cooperating!!! AT ALL!!!

Everything should be fine. There's no coolant in the a/c circuit and the pump shouldn't cut in with no pressure in the lines. The connecters can be a real pain usually because dirt gets in the spring and wont let it release.

It takes a few trys to get used to them. At least it did for me. You have to push them in untill it clicks, indicating that the ring has pushed the spring over the flare. Then you pull the lines apart. Well, this point is pretty moot now. New lines for both should be less than $100, and a recharge, isn't too bad.
