So I bought a used 2010 Taurus sho that had an issue where the keyless entry system didn't work at all and the nav system would randomly restart while driving down the road. I believe I tracked the issue down to a clogged sunroof drain that caused the water to run down and over the main wiring harness which was severely corroded. I cut and spliced all of the wires and everything seemed great for about a week. Now my key fob works intermittently again and the radio has now started restarting once again. I'm thinking the corrosion goes deep into the wire. Just wondering if anybody has any wiring diagrams for the passenger footwell or any suggestions as to what else it could be. I do get an error code from the system U01622.7ee4a08b6ed66d86757778a57ce65279940e99b8f8890d96c6fac20d0f2ba751

Thatll cause it. After a car wash i noticed water dripping from my rearview mirror and roof console light things. Im very picky now on how often i clean out those little holes around the sunroof.

This is starting to be a recurring issue around here lately. Have to include it with ptu fluid changes as far as advice for new members. If someone has a really effective drain clearing method, or a vid to send people to, that would help new buyers of used SHO's.

All it took to clean mine out was a bit of compressed air through the line and it cleared up nicely.

Did you solder and used adhesive-lined shrink sleeving when you spliced the cables or did you use some sort of non-environmental crimp connector?
