Hi i recently want to change my cd playe i do it so with a esay way , i go to a store that sell the wiring kit to do it like plug and play.........real scrap!!!!

Now i need the color of the speaker to wire my nery radio......and don't give me the link to the sticky thread....;)....i try this one and found nothing for the radio......http://shoforum.com/diagrams/1995.htm

The fact is i look at it and it says : lft fr speaker ora /lt gr......

Wow that is not my color, because first a got to cut like a square connector and the color for the speaker are:
Brown.......no line off different color
light blue /white
white/orange
white/red
light green......no line off different color
purple/white
yellow.......no line off different color
light blue......no line off different color

this doesn't work with what says on the connection off radio, and even when i go in my trunk, it is not the same color then the front

and also........my power antenna work well, with the panasonic , but it only go up , when i put it on "tuner"....if i put it on "aux or cd"....it go down, is it normal!

thank to all of you! (by the way , i got a 1995 SHO)

Ummm...I didnt get all that, so I will try.

First, yes some aftermarket HU's will put the antenna down in aux/cd mode b/c your not using the antenna.

As far as the wiring, they do sell the correct wiring harnesses, as I have purchased on for my 94 SHO.

If you want to do it the hard way and hard wire the HU in, the positives and negatives are right next to each other. SO, the brown and light blue/white would be the pos. and neg. for 1 speaker...hook those up to the new HU. Turn it on and see what speaker turns on. If its the front left speaker playing, then make sure you got those 2 wires hooked up to the front left wires coming out of the harness for the new HU. Continue on until you have all 4 speakers hooked up. Use balance and fade to make sure they are correct.

ok i'll try to help a little......because my wire are like all in one big grey cover a can't tell wich come together they are all mix up, so the color i give don't mean they go to the same speaker.

If i go to this link i can't find the page that talk about the radio...http://shoforum.com/diagrams/1995.htm does anyone know wich page a got to go.....because all the other year give color about the radio a really don't have!!!
ex for 1992 SHO:
front speaker: orange with green line
rear speaker: pink with green line.... etc

as i tell in the other post i really don't have any of this color.......and i try to take the panasonic wire , but there is to much way to hook them up.........because even if i check the wire at the speaker it self , it is not the same color as the one that go out of my dash.......i really don't understand........i install a couple of radio in my life and never had so much problem!!!

The following diagram is accurate for my '94 w/JBL Premium system, should work for a '95 as well:

if 2 of the speaker wires touched for a brief time, it should not harm the cd player.

did you unplug the factory amps in the trunk if you are bypassing them?

did you get the HU to power on?

Here's how it looks from inside the car:

#1 plug is used for hooking up the HU to the amplifier. The amp in turn drives the speakers and subwoofer

#2 plug is used for battery power/ignition/ground, which I asume all HU's need and use

#3 plug is used for bypassing the amplifier setup and hooking up the HU directly to the speakers

#4 plug is for the redundant radio controls on the dash

RadioConnects.jpg

The gray cable you cut (amp) has a bunch of wires inside of it. The end of that cable at one time had a connector (see pic) that matches up with the black one in the image set forth my previous post. The wires inside the gray cable correspond to the wire colors shown next to the connector in the image.

If you continue to have the same problems, I would recommend letting a professional installer do it for you.

I finally manage to make work everything!..

So 2 little tips for the other if there is!!!......if you have a 92-95 SHO or with the JBL amplifier system

1: Never try to wire a radio with original subwoofer yourself......don't cut anything, go to a car stereo shop and buy the bracket that go from youre FORD wire bracket to the color of the aftermarket one........it cost 15$ but do it!!!!!!!

2: If you still don't have sound or the radio work but not the CD player......wire the blue with white line/ with, the blue wire! and the blue wire / with, the blue with white line together.........it seem crazy but it work very fine now!!!!!!.........and if you intend to put a aftermarket sub you will need to take the AMP wire, into the trunk!!!!! or bypass the origininal JBL amplifier ( they give the bracket to bypass the amp in the kit I buy, but i didn't use it yet!!!!)

So thank of all your help.....and hope this will be useful for someone else

And for "Rockledge".....thank, the pic help to understand i don't need the number #4 :)........but be aware that the #3 plug is not alway there.....mine SHO don't have this plug.....you have to bypass the JBL amp in the trunk!

in my opinion, dont cut wires EVER... get the right harness, and splice the new cd player's wiring harness, to the pigtails that come off of the aftermarket harness. took me 10 mins to set it up in my car..
Glad to hear you got it working.

Oh, but I bet it does. You could say it is hidden. If you reached into the DIN slot and reached directly towards the steering wheel, you will find it attached to the side. It has one of those white push connectors that you have to pull free. :thumb:

One way to know for sure if you have that extra plug, from inside the trunk, look at the rear speakers. If you see 4 wires (2 pos. and 2 neg.) going to the speakers, you got it! (1 set goes to the JBL amp, and the other set goes right to that plug)

If you ever have your radio out again, feel around in there and give a little tug, and it should pull free.

BTW, that extra plug you couldnt find, that is the one I was trying to tell you how to wire up the speakers to it.
