Hello SHO'ers,

A new thing started recently with my 2013 SHO. Even though the wiper is in the off position it acts like it is on the lowest setting. When the windshield gets wet it kicks on the rain sensing wipers. If I turn off the rain sensing option the wipers wiper every so often like it is on the lowest setting. Can anyone give me any insight on this? Thanks!

Mine does the same thing. I haven't taken it in, yet, because the only time it really bothers me is if I go through an automatic car wash

Is that something I have to go to the dealership for?
It is DIY-able. Remove the column shrouds, disconnect the electrical connector, remove attaching screws, remove switch. Reverse to install.

P/N is EL3Z-13K359-BA I believe for mfs with rain sensing wipers, AA if no RSW.

You could try cleaning the mating electrical surfaces with electrical parts/MAF cleaner. Might do the trick. Slather on some dielectric grease prior to reassembly. But if a part is actually worn, then ulimately replacement is in order.

SHOdded , I got a parts question.
The blank switch that is next to the power shade button is un-used. What might a part number be for a lookalike switch. I want to hard wire my red line radar dector to that switch area since nothing is currently there [assume parking aid goes there]

Ha, I wish! As far as the "switch", I will look, but usually I will go to FordParts.com or an online dealer site, "guess" at a part number, then look on EBay for a possible hit to get an actual pic of what the part looks like.
