wiper problems

Ok I have an odd one but I think it might be a bad MFS.

yesterday it was sprinkling a bit and I turned on the wipers, now one thing of note the MFS only has about 3 positions that work other than both full on positions, so I try using the turn signals and they work fine but it was superfast cycling the wiper relay. after the sprinkling had stopped i turned off the wipers and instead of going to there rested position they came all the way in the pointed straight up position to rest and now they always come to this position to rest but otherwise they work fine.

I am hoping this is only an MFS problem. I have trid repeating what happened yesterday and can not get it to go to the normally rested position.

I have a 91 and the same problem. I just turn them on and off until they stop and you can just push them down the rest of the way by hand. The module to swap out is on the inside firewall at the middle of the dash. Not worth it for me at least. Mine have parked normally maybe once in the last couple months.

the problems i am having are: wipers are sometimes non-responsive when turned on certain settings (seeming/sounding like a loose conection that finally kicks in sometimes), and they have stopped at the side of the windshield before on me too. i have a brand new MFS given to me with the car when i bought it, and that was not the problem. i have been told that the wiper governer control box somewhere under the drivers side dash needs attention. my issues havent been so bad though, so i have not dug further into it.
