Whenever I signal left my wipers cycle and spray continuously for as long as the turn signal is on, and the wiper delay does not seem to function.

anytime I set any delay the wiper cycles once then stops on the near park position.

I just bought the car, so am kinda confused by this. Maybe someone was messing with it, or more likely a bad multifunction switch ?

For now i just pulled out the contacts from the side of the multifunction switch.

Looks like you need a switch, you can try to spray it with contact cleaner to see if its dirty ( works on my 94 plow truck like a dream ) may get you a little more life out of it

thanks!

So, i ripped apart the switch and cleaned it.. still had the same problem.

so I then removed the switch from the column and took that apart (big mistake!)

I found that there are 3 wires going from the wiper stock to an internal connector. the 1 wire was touching the wrong contact when I made a left turn because when I pushed the wiper stock down it pushed the broken wire onto another contact.

Finally got it all back together, LOTS of springs in that damn thing.

works flawlessly :thumb:

:thumb::thumb: Glad you were able to fix it instead of having to buy a new one.
