Windshield wiper question

I have 91 SHO and when I turn on the wipers they go up a little bit and start working. When they move, they make noise. It sounds like motor but I'm not sure where it's coming from. So is it supposed to sit a little bit high when you turn the wipers on and make noise?

They will sit a little higher, but you shouldnt really hear anything from the motor other than a little noise just from it operating.

Thank you for the reply! Sitting a little higher is normal. That's good, well the noise seems like operating noise but it's pretty loud. Should it be fine then?

they're supposed to sit high when operating. As far as the noise, what kind of noise it is? Is it a clicking, if its a clicking its the wiper switch, every sho I had mad that sound. Also if its the motor it may be the motor dying in which case wait till it dies and pm me cuz i have one

The noise is just like operating noise but kind of loud. That's what I'm worried about. Just loud. Haha. I will wait and see what happens. Thank you guys for the replies! =]

are your wiper blades new? if so check and makes sure that the wiper arms aren't catching on anything, check to make sure they are tight and have no play when off and in the "down" posistion. if you replace only the rubber/silicone parts and not the whole thing make sure that the rest of the blade is in good shape.

They are not new but they are pretty clean. My car is actually getting tuned up right now and the battery is out. I will check the wiper blades and all the stuff after putting all the stuff back.
