:)The control panel for the driver door is being weird. I tried to put my passenger side rear window down and my radio turned off and when I released the button, it came back on. I have a 94 Sho. I turned the radio off and was able to put the window down. The driverside part of the panel does not have issues. I have had issues with the passenger front window and have been leaving it up, mainly because I don't want my window stuck in the down position. I was thinking that the switches where going out, but I am also wondering if there is anyway that the panel wires could be touching the speaker wires and that could be causing my problems. Also where is the dinger for the key. Stupid thing goes off whenever I open my door, even when there is no key in it and I am tired of listening to it and just want to disable it. :thankyou:

In bold;) First thing i would look at. Chances are someone has replaced either the switch or more likey the window motor. I should also ask....is your head unit (cd player) the original or after market??

As far as the door chime is concered, try doing a "search" You should get what you're looking for there. honestly, I can't remember where it is for sure.

Thanks for your info. My head unit is after market. I was thinking of just replacing the whole switch unit, since it's only on my side that doesn't work and only for the passenger side of the car. Never know, the whole thing could quit working, then I would really be not happy, my ac needs stuff in it, so I don't use it, but since I work graveyard, it's not a big deal, but I still need to put the windows down. I did a search for the dinger, so now I know what to do. I didn't realize until later that the window issue affected more than the stereo, it also affected my dash lights. That probly means there is a short somewhere.

Still haven't solved my window issues, but there is no more dinging, thank goodness. It's nice to get in my car and not to have that annoying noise going off. Got my water pump fixed today, another noise gone.:woo-hoo:

When you had the water pump replaced, did you have the CPS (crankshaft position sensor) checked? It's common for a leaking water pump to cause the CPS to fail, and when it does you won't be going anywhere.

Been there, done that...
