Is the chrome window trim on a 93' glued or bolted on? And has anyone ever replaced it?

alluminum trim

If your looking to just get rid of the metal look like i was then cover the entire car to keep it from getting overspray and then carefully clean it and spray it either semi gloss black or flat black. I did mine flat black. And use some kind of a high temp paint or even the duplicolor wheel paint since that stuff is designed to bond to slick surfaces. It might not be quite as smooth as what came of the 94-95 but it is a heck of alot easier than trying to remove the old.

It's not really that bad. Here's how to get the front ones off:

1) Remove the inside door panel.
2) Remove the 2 corner pieces at the ends of the inside belt window molding (they are glued on)
3) Remove the inside belt window (it just pulls off)
4) Remove the outside belt molding. There is a nut on the door handle end of the trim, remove it and it just pulls off.
5) Locate and remove the forward run channel bracket bolt, it a few inches below the speaker.
6) Remove the speaker (you don't have to remove the sepeaker but is easier if you do
7) Lower the window and start pulling the run channel down, once you have the rear of the channel down enough you can pull it forwant and piviot the entire piece out of the door.
8) Drill out the rivits that hold the chrome trim in place and remove the trim.

Heres how to do the back:

1) Remove the inside door panel.
2) Remove the 2 corner pieces at the ends of the inside belt window molding (they are glued on)
3) Remove the inside belt window (it just pulls off)
4) Remove the outside belt molding. There are nuts on both ends, remove them and it just pulls off.
5) Lower the window and start pulling the run channel down, once you have the rear of the channel down enough you can pull it forwant and piviot the entire piece out of the door.
6) Drill out the rivits that hold the chrome trim in place and remove the trim.

So you've done this before? We are talking about the same thing (chrome trim that goes around the whole window on the outside of the car)?
