Yeah, if I ever get pulled over I roll my windows down and open the sun roof to let more light in so the tint doesnt look as dark.

I know in most states the cops cannot pull you over solely for your windows being to dark, they have to have more reason than that to pull you over. But I don't doubt they pull you over without other reasons.

few tiny bubbles, and hold it up to the window on the out side do a oversized ruff cut. It is hard i wont lie, i think that after i a while i will be able to do windows without a problem. This was my first try at it and for the most part i was very pleased with how it came out!.

Professional tinters will tell you it's an artform. The really good ones IMO will go right to the top edge. It was easy on my Jeep becuase the windows came right out, and I just took a brand new razor blade and ran it along the top edge of the window after the tint was applied to cut off the excess. The SHO windows are riveted to the elevator mechanism, so you can't take them out. Most pros have templates for each car model, but it seems like it would be tough to get a precise top edge cut that way.

My friend's Denali has the top edge cut about 8mm away from the top of the window. It's kind of a choppy cut, and I think it looks like crap when the windows are down part-way.

That's cause you live in providence, easiest city to get away with small traffic violations because they actually have to worry about real murders and shootings.

Lol I know what you mean about rolling down the windows even in 10degree weather all I used to do is roll them all down quick!

You can take an SHO window out, you just cant put one back in! I brought my car down the shop in our town that does tinting (does an awesome job). They always take the windows out and run a file along the top edge of the window to get the tint right up to where it rounds on the very top. Anyway, I brought my car there cuz the guy was gonna put in a new window for me for free cuz someone busted mine and I know the guy, but it turned out they didn't have the tools there to do it, since it's riveted. So I went accross the street to a glass company and they put it in for $10,

Did you just do a strip at the top or the whole windshield?

I just do a strip, the 97 has a 11" and the 93 has a 9" which are both illegal but havent had anything ever said to me about it. My corolla had 40% on the whole windshield but I got a $500 ticket so I am not going that route again...

I had the same issue on my '91+, the guy at the glass shop took about 1.5 hours to get the old cracked pieces out and put the new glass in. Needless to say he was a bit frusterated.
