It's an amber 5mm LED, irrc. You might need to change out the resistor to get the correct brightness too.

Ok thanks...just havent taken the time to read anything out yet. Ive got a good supply of resistors just didnt have the right color LEDs on hand. Wonder if the factory Electrical/Vacuum manual has anything in there, gotta look. Anyhow, thanks again!

I just opened up a spare window switch and found that the LEDs are indeed amber color, but they aren't 5mm. They're 3mm LEDs. Sorry about that.

No worries, i pulled one out and found that out too...the only 5mm one ive seen is for the rear defrost illumination, thats a 5mm. Thanks!
