I think he's running the custom straight cut gears set that's 1 of 5 ever made, and the Quaife differential.

Are you the same Ransom from back in the earlier days with a fast black gen 1 SHO for mile or mile and half speed competitions?

That's the reason I asked. Even a special shimmed trans with a shot peened and cyro 3rd gear, if I allow 3rd to see 15 psi of boost, ****! it's gone. 4th has seen 21 psi and it's still hanging on.

Interesting on the tidbid that 16 sets were made, and not 5. Thanks for the clarification. I wish I had one, but I know I'd need a brinks truck for it if I can even find any for sale. LOL!

Hey man, it's good to see you're still around, and with that same SHO. I remember the MPHs you used to do that was impressive. I'm sorry to hear about your third gear woes. Mad horsepower problems..

I think you definitely need one of the 16 straight cut gear sets out there with what kind of power you are pulling from your '89. It seems like if it is working for Blue Turd's car that it might work out for you just as well?

Well, hey, may I please ask who made those head gaskets for you? They look nice.

The rods are really nice as well. Were those one off set they made for you, or is there a part number for a SHO set?

The rods are built to order. And the head gaskets are from SCE Gaskets
The transmission is the HD gearset from Tony, and a quiafe diff. The transmission case has also been welded and braced

So what's the HD gearset? I've heard of them and know they're like $5k, but I dont know much else. And is that a custom copper HG?
