Hey guys I've got a bad wheel bearing on my Gen 1 and I was forced to drive it with it like that while my other car was down for a 60k. I was wondering if i could just swap over a whole knuckle assembly from another gen 1 slo instead of messing with the hub to find out the knuckle is messed up from me driving on a messed up bearing.

So Question is will a Gen 1 SLO knuckle work on my Gen 1 SHO?

Your 90 have antilocks? if not, you can use a SLO knuckle all day long. If it DOES have antilocks, then you will ahve a hard time finding a SLO knuckle with antilocks...

but....

You can toss the SLO....non-antilock...knuckle in there while you get the wheel bearing replaced on the SHO knuckle....

That I knew of, 89 was the only year that ABS was not available in the SHO. I also think it has a knuckle that was used for that year only. 1990- 1993 SHO's used the same knuckle.
If you car is a 90, find your self a 90-93 Taurus any model line L, GL, LX, SHO. Make sure it has ABS, and use that knuckle.

Deja vu, a posting similar to this one was posted yesterday.

don't forget to check out Sables too, also the wagons of each model have the exact same front knuckle as the sedans
