My stock passenger side front speaker is starting to shriek at me, so I need to go ahead and replace the fronts (I've been planning to upgrade my sound, but this gives me an excuse to go ahead and splurge on it now).

I like the 6.5" Alpine Type-Rs, but I'm not sure they'd fit. According to Alpine they have a 2-3/4" mounting depth. Is that too big to fit without hitting the window? Has anyone tried these speakers in their SHO?

Thanks,
Orkin

They fit...I used to run em, but didn't like the highs in em. Stupid me went a bought infinity's and them was given a set of dome tweeters....I miss my type-r's.

Next stop....Eclipse mids and highs....
