So the wife took the SHO to the store today, got back and says, "The car really seems to be running good today, did you do anything to it? I replied , "No dear, just replaced the plugs a couple of weeks ago." She is about the most non-mechanically inclined person I've ever known, and for her to comment on a car's performance is telling. And I wasn't about to tell her about the tune.

Mine won't drive the SHO. Too big for her sense of proportions, and I respect that she knows her limits than a call where she tells me the car is missing its front bumper.
I dont usually like to share private info - in this group sure - I am actually leaving my SHO to my childhood friend - since my wife will NEVER drive it - instead of trying to sell a modded car - my friend will be given the car. He still and currently owns his first and only new car he ever bought... 3rd Gen Ford Mustang 5.0L GT black with tan rag top. He will know what to do with the SHO.

My wife drives mine occasionally, usually if I’m taking the dogs somewhere in her SUV or if I’ve taken hers to work and she needs to go out (she works from home). My wife much prefers the ride her SUV has to the bumpy ride my SHO has. She is well aware of the tune and everything done to my car and she has accidentally hit 100 on the highway not paying attention. I tell her that is why I use the adaptive cruise lol. We have 4 giant breed dogs and they do not like the cramped back seat in my SHO lol

My wife drove the shit out of the SHO, before I got her the Audi Q7. It was her daily to work before the Audi. I mean, cmon, heated and cooled seats, heated steering, kick ass AC. What's not to like. She used to say people were always trying to run her lol.

My honey drove my '13 SHO, then a tree jumped in his way & did over $5000 damage ... that was just backing out of the driveway :eeeeeek:
Ever since then, he refuses to get in the drivers seat.
The funniest part, although it wasn't funny at the time, is when he seriously looked at me & said 'Doesn't that thing have sensors? Why didn't they go off?'
I'm thinking 'did that man just really asked me those questions?? Especially after I've had to listen to him lecture me about 50 million times on how I shouldn't rely on the sensors, that I'm going to hit something someday.'
I just looked at him & walked away :burnout:

What kind of damage to driveline is there? If it's cosmetic maybe just get it repaired? At least you know the condition of the rest of the vehicle and how it was driven (minus the backing up part).

been together 9 years so basically married. I detailed her mothers SUV years ago, Stefanie and I were headed out to dinner so we said we’d drop her vehicle off on our way. I decided last second to have Stefanie drive my SHO so I could see it on the road ….she laughed and agreed to do it for me….or maybe she was doing it for herself lol. Because after we both lined up side by side at a red light, she floored it as I hoped….however idk if her foot got stuck…(yeah right) but she completely went over 100mph easy, completely unexpectedly she decided to do a half mile or something…3 lights and out of sight…half in awe of her and my other half was like….how can I see my car now that was the whole point….

Like I had to drive the rest of the way there, wondering if I’d see her up ahead somewhere pulled over. Nope, but found her waiting at her Mom’s. Totally wasn’t the plan.

She’s only taken my car out a handful of times and I always tell her…don’t go racing around but don’t lose. She’s supposed to help me get some break in mileage in my car when it’s done, to get those hot and cold cycles in…I’d rather her be seen driving it when it can’t go WOT lol! She better follow the procedure
