Everytime I go to fix something, Something else adds to the problems. At times I feel I can't win with my baby. Thank God for the LOVE that keeps us together.

I have had a complete 60K done except the valve adjustment. Just recently I had the CPS replaced due to intermit shut down. NOW ..... I get the same problem. It either the CAM Sensor or the CRANK Sensor. I'm hoping for the CAM Sensor seeing I have a oil leak in that area. I'll know more tomarrow when I tear into it w/ SHOtime.

All I know is that the engine doesn't sound healthy when you go to crank it over. To give you a idea of what its doing/ or did. Driving along the car starts bucking, tack bounces then drops, engine dies. If you can get it started (got it once but not now) engine bucks, farts, and you can't get the RPMs up pass 2,500. The last time it happened it cleared itself up :? .

Oh well ......... I'll know more tomarrow.

Rickie, does all this stem from your visit to Fred's on Saturday?? Or, should I put it, does this tie in to the problems you were having earlier?

The struggling startup points to the cam sensor.

You said "complete 60K," but I always thought of the valve gapping as one of the major services in the 60K along with the spark plugs and timing belt (on the 3.0L).

**~ UPDATE ~**

Cam Sensor replaced ..... Same problem. No start. gonna check for spark tomarrow.

I'd like to rule out CPS only for the fact that it was JUST replaced about 1K ago. BUT YOU NEVER KNOW.

Keep in mind from the first time (Friday) this happened last week on hte highway. Car starts bucking and farting. Loss of RPMs. car doesn't wanna move out of its own way. Smoke came from exaust (white  ). shut her down in the breakdown lane. Got out to make shure nothing was leaking. Everything looked good under the hood. Got car started ~ wouldn't go past 2000 RPM w/o bucking. Feather gas all the way home. Seems to clear itself on the way home. Fine all weekend, did it again Monday night (same as above) on my way to Home Depo. Only NOT to restart. Leaving me to call for a tow truck. squint

Only good thing that came from this so far was the tow truck was a flat bed thumbs_u .

Funny, I read what you are talking about, and I am having the SAME problem right now, except for the fact that mine will restart. I am bringing it to the shop tonight, so they will have it for a couple of days. I will let you know what they do to it, so maybe you can get yours fixed too.

I had a similar problem with my car....I replaced the CPS and I thougt I got it fixed. It was fine for about a week but the problem came back. It turned out to be a fuel pump! I replaced the pump 5 months ago and never a hickup since then.

<stupid question time> I'm assuming you gapped the CPS? Bolted the crossover to the intake manifold properly? Check spark, then check fuel pressure.

Well, $450-550 for repairs to mine. I pulled 7 codes. The ones he told me was ECC, Speed Sensor, MAF, O2. And that is just some. I will let you know on fri when I get the accutall bill and tell you what I ALL had done

Its not the DIS .. Tried that from another running SHO (THX FRED thumbs_u ). I'm thinking no spark. But when I tried it today before work it sounded like there was no timing ... just spinning. So tomarrow i'll pop off the top timing cover and check out the belt. Thou I dout it but you never know.

**Note to self: Do 60K all at once next time, not parts**

As a update .......

The car sux. j/k I can't figure it out. I have no idea what it could be. So off it goes to my cousin's house for repair. The last time this happened it had to do with a injector, puter, and maybe timing  . I hope its not as bad this time but you never know .... it might be worse. In any case, everything will be fixed and operating to potential.

I just want my baby back :( .
