So I was putting E100 in my tank to blend my E content. My car is half one color, half another, it gets people's attention. As I'm about to start pumping, about 4 teen guys came over taking pics and asking questions. My ******** starts the E100 pumps, leans against my car and starts chatting. Next thing I know, I pumped 10.011 gallons of E100 into my tank. Did some math and I was sitting at E55 after completely filling. I burned off some, filled again and should be around E41 currently. I'm driving the car very easy but I have two questions. Are there big issues I should be worried about with this? As well, what level of ethanol do I need to pull down to before those risks go away. I usually run a E15 blend.

I'd definitely talk with Torrie. The stock pcm can run up to E20 without any issues, and depending on your HPFP health you can get up to E35 safely before you start getting issues. If you don't beat on it you'll be fine and the fuel trims will take care of you, but I'd definitely ask Torrie as it's his tune that is controlling the car.

You're fine. I'm running E40 "full-dick" on stock a fuel system. But if your tune is not configured for it you'll just want to go easy until you burn through it.

I frequently topped off with a chaos whatever e30-e50~ mix in my SHO on ajpturbo e30 and the gearhead e30 tunes. But I did monitor fuel pressure and lambda always.

If e40 is full dick then what's e85?
Realistic full send tunes depends on your weather and altitude.

Just meaning I'm giving it everything the turbos will give me, without a hitch. 20 psi at around 3k rpm, trailing down to 15.5 psi at 6k rpm. So if he drives it moderately there's nothing to even remotely worry about.

Seems high for the stock turbos, also a lot of tapering... is that normal for the SHO engine?

20 psi is really high for the stock turbos, at that point they are a massive heat pump and I'd be curious how that is being sustained and what IATs look like. I'm also curious how much spark he's running, as I see a lot logs where other tuners are pushing 18-20 psi but only seeing 8-9 degrees of spark and we are outrunning them with 16 psi and 18 spark.

Yeah, im interested also. I dont see how the stock SHO would maintain that at less that 150degrees IAT2

Ive seen better results personally with high timing and lower boost. I experimented up to 24psi on my truck but it is actually faster and more responsive around 21psi. I ended up giving up temporarily because I was afraid of cylinder pressure limits and im only running 19psi with BCB but they say im at max timing. It feels way stronger down low.

Gotta find that happy point that IATs are happy while maximizing spark and then getting boost in there at the end.

Tapering? Yes. All the way down to 15.5 psi? I don't know but I would say yes with everything bone stock and DA being in the 3000-4000ft range. I'll see where it lands come winter.

Not even remotely accurate and really just far too oversimplified to merit a lengthy explanation as to why that's wrong. You've seen the compressor map I shared on this forum, you might want to examine it more closely. But I'll also have you know at 16 psi I'm hitting 24°, so I'm not really worried about how slow you think my tune might be:thumb:

What fuel? 24 degrees on E30 at 16 psi is fine. I run 28 on E85 with 17 psi.

Also for the sake of discussion please explain where I'm wrong. Years of thermo and compressible fluids in the pursuit of an engineering degree but always down to learn more.
