I have a question for those of you who have the white face guages. How did you get them to stay in place? Some type of tape or glue? Also, are the white guages supposed to go over top of the original guages?

Hey bro, it really depends on what kind you have, are they the glo kind? if so, then yes they will go over the old gauges, they need the check engine light, oil, and all those lettering spots from the originals, also, If you have just the white gauges that go over the factory, spacing will be an issue. So check the guage to needle clearance. If you can fit double sided tape then go for it, I couldn't on my mustang, and havent picked up the glow gauges for the sho yet, so what I ended up using was eurethane glue, the black kind, really tough stuff, and won't come off like say silicone will. when you glue, if that is the route you go, then make sure the needles can work freely, sweeps freely. don't put the glue too thick, and watch out say a half inch from any clearspot or edge of the gauges, the glue is terrible to try to get off the gauges, any kind is, TRUST ME!!! let it sit for a good amount of time to dry. autosho likes the use of double sided tape. I know there is different thicknesses out there, just kinda choose what you want to do, and the amount of work you want to put in it, and how durable the bonding you want, I hope this helps some. Maybe Josh can put up a gauge section at his site! Well good luck bro! :thumb:

I have the white face overlays that are posted on ebay all the time. I used double sided scotch tape (very thin) and the overlays have never shifted.

For my white faced gauges, I took off my original gauges for the whole purpose of, if I sell this car, I want to be able to put the factory back in without it being messed up.

Also, my gauges came with sticky on the back of them...:thumb:

i got a cheapy Ebay set as well.

pulled off the originials and there was enough adhesive left behind that the new ones stuck by themselves...

afterwards i was thinking that perhaps i shoud have used something.

but i havent had any problems. i'd say the hardest part about the whole process was getting the needles off..mine just didnt want to budge..but i'm glad i did, they look gooooood painted against the white face

I have the Speedhut guages and I used nothing (I think). Mine fits well and goes over the stock guages.

You are going to have fun when the glow goes out TheKrazyRaven.

I slipped mine under the needles, and used clear tape to hold 'em upright. Don't use glue-these aren't going to glow forever.

I've done a few sets of the Photoshop gauges. 3M spray adhesive is hands down the best stuff. Very clean and provides an all over smooth contact instead of spots here and there. Plus if you have ultra-see through gauges, you aren't going to see pieces of tape or spots of glue behind them when the lights are on at night.
