Hey Guys. This has been going on for about a month now and is really starting to irritate me... :shakehead . This whining sound, sounds alot like a power steering type whining sound. But i don't think it's my power steeering because when i turn the wheel it doesn't make any noise. It is a real high pitch whining when you rev up. I have a 1994 ATX. Any thpughts on what it could be. Any suggestions will be highly aprreciated.

Probably the alternator, they have a tendency to whine and then go bad when it gets cold out.

Possibly a vacuum leak? I had one when I re-installed my intake and it sounded just like you describe.

Whining

I am not really sure where your whining is coming from. But from my own experience, I had some whining in my engine compartment about two years ago and it turned out to be a bad pulley. Check those pulleys to rule out the possibility that they are bad. Good luck on your diagnosis. :corn:
