Whine in the speakers

OK OK OK... I know there have been some threads about this but no clear answers... well to me at least. Now this choke thing i have.... i did what the instructions say... i spliced it into the power wire.... but according to some other posts I've read, it looks like you splice it into the + side of the speaker that the whine is coming through.... is that the way it needs to be spliced...

which leads to.... do you need a choke for each speaker.... althought only need one, just incase i get another whineing one????

check your negative power cables at the battery and at the frame. i had a wine problem untill i replaced my neg battry to frame wire with some nice 1/0 gage. :D

my idel smoothed out some to :cool: i also pick up some high end power. go figure.

I had a whine as well, found out it was an exposed wire on the back of my headunit. Just patched it up with electrical tape, and it wasn't picking up alternator whine anymore.

I... should probably do that to mine :bonk: I have an intermittant whine myself...

well i did what the instructions told me to do.... splice it in to the 12v+ going diriectly to the headunit.... didn't do much... my question is do i splice it into the + side of teh speaker it's coming out of?
