Which SHO's have the MTX-IV

I know the first gens have it but does the 92-95 have the same tranny's? and is the 92-95 do they have hydrolic clutch or cable controled clutch? any help is aperciated!

Only the green ones.

All manual transmission SHO has the MTX-IV (1989-1995). All have cable actuated clutch.

wierd... why would someone be so happy to have our blow up diff strip 3rd gear transmissions... most people want get a new trans in our car.

well all i could say its not going to be yamaha powered and its going to be a wagon... as soon as i get some more pieces then ill reveal what it is!

1989 to about 5/91 had brass blocking rings, and a cable shifter. 5/91-95 fiber lined blocking rings, and a rod shifter. The "later" tranny's are supposed to shift smoother.

FWIW I just got a tranny off a 90 that has fiber blocking rings. The quill is original too. Have no history other than that and 108k miles on it. This will be replacing my 89's tranny. I assume that one will have no fiber rings because I have most of its history and no claim to anyone every dropping the tranny. Only 176k miles and it needs a clutch. What a cheap POS
