Hey guys haven’t been on here in a while but my PTU just disintegrated on me after driving down the road, I had been hearing the dreaded whining noise that changes with speed for quite a while now but I was driving it yesterday and I heard a bad grinding then clunk-clunk and now it feels like it’s driving on a gear with no teeth. Anyway, I’ve been looking for a a fast replacement and I found a vendor on Amazon with the exact PTU but it states non-turbo only, I’m wondering if anyone has ran into this if there was any differences between the one for the stock cars and these SHO models. Any part number for this specific model? Because I have been looking and haven’t found any info on the difference. The car a 2013 non-performance package so it doesn’t have the cooler on the side. Thanks for your help!

My guess is that non-turbo only just means it doesn't have any cooling lines to it.

Well I really didn’t know which forum section to put this in but I already ordered that PTU and I’m going to put it in tomorrow. I was just asking if there was anything hidden information that shops or Ford couldn’t tell me

You could get both, just need lower rad hose and the lines to the ptu. Along with adding the oil cooler and its hose to the lower rad hose. If you choose to upgrade to cooled ptu and oil. I have a new sealed ford oil cooler id give you

This may help give you a little insight:

This needs to be added to the sticky in the General section; if it doesn't reside there now
