to use to run the light bulb in my mech. oil pressure guage? Do I run the pos. wire from the bulb to it, and the negative wire to a screw (or something grounded)?

How about hooking up the meter light circuit to the rest of the dash lights? Tha way it is controlled the same as all the rest of the lights.

You can pick off this power at or near the panel dimmer switch. The ground wire gets connected to any available ground.
