At the sho convention, I noticed a SHO that had hood shocks on the side of the engine compartment as to not interfere with the strut tower brace (as you have to remove the stock shocks to install the tower brace).
Does anyone know who manufactures these, and where I can find them?

Possibly check out other vehicles that have these types of mounts. My gf's '99 Monte Carlo has the struts mounted in the hood well area, along with many other cars. I think that the Gen 4 Taurus might even have them there, but I'm not sure. It shouldn't be anything too difficult to do; it should just bolt right up after drilling some different mounting holes.

the part # for the hood struts are SG425001. made by SACHS Stabilus LIFT -O-MAT. they are $19.99 each from Pep Boys. u WILL need custom brackets for these hood struts so u can keep ur front STB, from a fellow SHO Forum member with the real name of Jeff Noel, i believe. he makes these bracket kits for like $20 or so. his e-mail is [email protected]. let him know i refered u, i am not making any money off the reference, i am just letting him know that his work is being spread around. hope i was a good help.....

it came with the car when i purchased it in december. it looks like it was taped and painted, one of the previous owners of the car was a SHO enthusiast, i dont think he's a member here neither. they did a fairly good job on the tail lights and the pearl white paint job! thumbs_u

Yea, I should proably tone that down a bit. It is a bit overwhelming. Did you see me at the convention? I know I did not talk to you because I am sure I would have remembered that.
How do you get a picture on your signature.
By the way, nice pic burn_out

ohio is for hustlers
No, no offense taken, I understood what you meant. No, I actually didn't talk to you, but I parked a little down from you at Summit Point. That's not a real picture of my car, it's just a photoshop job my friend did, but I'm glad you like it :) . My car is the lowered green 92 with 99 SHO rims, black interior, tint... I don't have tips either. Probably doesn't stick out though, since about half the SHOs THERE were green, hehe. I use www.clubphoto.com, you can go there and create and account. Then all you do is follow the directions they give you to upload photos.

I'm pretty sure you could do something like that with that spray tint crap. Just mask off the detail you want with some good quality masking tape and spray away.

this "spray tint crap" surprisingly looks good in person! it doesn't peel off, it looks like one of those vent shade tail light covers so i give this "spray tint crap" a thumbs_u ......
