I just finally got to running the codes to see why my ABS light has been on for a little over a year.

I got ABS codes 33 and 34, all I could find were to EEC codes.

Oops, wrong codes. I misread the first post and only saw the EEC reference. So sorry.

Wrong book. You must have a California car. Go here. The link to the testing procedures is at the top of the page.

33 ALL - (O, M) EGR did not open/ respond during test or if memory code, did not open intermittently

34 EVP - (R) EGR did not respond properly during test

So you're telling me I should get 2 digit codes from my Gen 2? News to me.

Also, he is asking about ABS codes, not EEC codes.

I took it to Mercury/Lincoln dealer where my bud works and he did me the favor of running both EEC and ABS codes but didnt have time to look up the codes on his NGS.

Thanks a lot guys, the left/right rear wheel sensors sound just right, I remember the guy who installed my suspesnion 2yrs ago say "they just fell off", lol i'm like sure they did, I didnt really mind until now when my 18's just keep sliding on any sort of dirt.

So are the rear left/right wheel sensors still sold by Ford or any other company, if so how much? And is this a hard thing to replace? Other than that I know my ABS is great because it worked nicely when I first bought my SHO hopefully after 2yrs rest all it needs it the wires that guy broke.

Aww crap after looking around it looks like I need to buy the whole wheel/ABS speed sensor to replace the broken ABS cable I have coming from my wheel sensor in the rear.

I'm I correct about this, or can the wires themselves be had seperatly?

BTW guys cut Scott some slack, its his first mistake in years :) .

Gentlemen, and ladies (hi Ma Ma M),

I do not know the origin of the following quote, but it is pertinent here.

"The only way to not make any mistakes, is to do nothing."

I, for one, am very greatful that Scott, Steve, SHOZ123, and several others, take the time and the risk of making an occasional error, in order to educate us and provide us with a whole lot of helpful information.

They share their time, their knowledge, and their experiences with us, and we benefit greatly.

So, anyone out there who claims they do not, and have not, made any mistakes, I have to believe that they have not done anything (period). thumbs_u rangerj
