Where did my brakes go???

Okay heres the story. The car in front of me just stopped and I had to really jam the brakes to get the car stopped ( no I wasn't following too close ). Anyway the pedal was nice and firm and then it just went to the floor. I barely got stopped. Now the brakes work but the pedal goes almost all the way down. I checked the fluid level and found it low but saw no leaks. Added a full pint of brake fluid and drove a block. Found a leak on the drivers side right about at the pillar between the front and rear doors. I can't really get under the car at this point so does anyone know what is under there? Is it a broken line or is there some sort of junction? Any and all help is needed.

Good ole rusted line broke. Nothing to major, just replace the line, or the section thats broke.

Yep. Rusted line sounds like. I just had that happen to one of the rear lines in my GenIII this morning. A little unsetteling when the pedal goes to the floor.
