I already did my front last year with ford/motorcraft springs so I think it would be a waster to pick up eibachs etc. for the rear.

I paid a lot for the springs and struts last time, any suggestions of where I could get better deals?

Thanks!

Even for people on a budget, the Moog replacement struts are inexpensive with a lifetime warranty.......

Thanks guys? Quality wise how do you think these springs compare to the original ones? They also won't lower at all right?

Now as far as "Moog replacement struts..." you mean springs right not struts?

On the same topic, what would be a good to replace these rear struts with? The place that carries MOOG here suggested Munroe SensiTraks....

Finally, does anyone know MOOG's website, I couldn't find through Google... I am in Canada and looking for distributors here.

Thanks again!

I don't know about MOOG website.

I would personally just hit up the local NAPA (do you have NAPA?)

www.midwestsho.com carries them for $129

For struts, either KYB GR2s or Sensatracs will be good for a stock ride/look/feel.

Good luck

Kenny is running the Monroe sensatracks [struts]with his moog springs and he likes the ride.

I would go that route.

Yep.

IIRC:

~$100 for all 4 Moog coil springs
~$150 for all 4 Monroe Sensatrac struts (a promotional buy 3 get one free deal)
~$400 for every bushing, mount, bearing, etc

Yeah, that sounds about right... I was thinking my entire suspension setup cost just about $600.

And I love it
But my tires dont :evil_gri:

Thanks guys... I tried the local place that has MOOG... he says yeah but they specifically say (SEDANS EXCLUDING SHO) and that he looked in the catalog and there is nothing SHO specific LMFAO!

Anyhow does anyone have a specific MOOG part #'s so I can be sure? Also when I check the ford part they say that they have specific spring codes which can vary even in the same year???

Also I wander since I am just got the front springs+struts last summer, if I buy 4XSprings + 4XStruts would anyone be interested in taking 2 of each??? Possibly discounted further than 1/2!

Dont pay any attention to the "excluding SHO" portion of the description.

And as for part numbers... Here you go, for the coil springs:

Gen I: Front CC862 Rear CC839
Gen II: Front CC858 Rear CC859

If you run a search for "Moog CC" or "Moog Coil" you can find a decent amount of informative threads on the forum :thumb:

I have read in other posts that the MOOG cargo coils will raise ride height. Some have cut off one turn of the coil to counter this. Is this true?

I removed one coil from the front.
The rears are uncut.

It rides at a height VERY close to stock. But handles much, much better

I need to replace all the struts and springs on my '95 MTX. I don't want a harsh, bouncy ride. What did you use for struts? I have read that the KYBs give a harsh ride. I don't want to spend $400 on the Tokicos. I have looked at the SensaTracs. Do you know how they ride with the MOOG CCs? I have also contemplated the Eibach springs. Do they work with the SensaTracs? Thanks for the help.

The Moog CCs are stock replacement.
so the sensatracs work great with them.

Excellent ride, on a budget.

It looks like I can get a deal on the motorcraft struts. Being that they also come with boot/bellows it works out about $25/pr cheaper than the monroes for me.

Any comments on what the combination of motorcraft+moog coils vs monroe + moog coils would be appreciated!

Thanks!

As I said before (or implied :p ) do not do a application search.

Try punching in the Moog CC part numbers into the non-Napa part number search.

Gen I: Front CC862 Rear CC839
Gen II: Front CC858 Rear CC859

It seems that the search brings up more than one option for the fronts.
Maybe somebody else can help with that.

Have you done a search? the Moog and Napa 're-badged' moog coils havae been discussed A LOT.
