Hey guys!
A new set of wheels was the first upgrade I did to my SHO. The factory 20"s are inexplicably heavy, and are ugly as sin IMHO.
As an Assistant Manager at Discount Tire, I have a FitVal system available to me to tell me what does and doesn't fit. As badly as I wanted to squeeze a 20x9, my system said no and I didn't want to try to prove it wrong.

However, I challenged FitVal's offset recommendation. While it lists ET30-ET40 as viable fits, I wanted something more negative. I wanted the wheels to stick closer to the fender to give my car the aggressive stance that it deserves.

I went with the KMC District in a 20x8.5 ET28, which throws my outside rim 22MM futher away from the car than stock.

It fits perfect! No rubbing or anything. You can see the picture on my profile. If anyone would like closer pictures, just let me know!

20 x 9.5 ET30 with 275's front and rear. No problem.

I have two questions. I finally found a pair of 20x8.5 wheels that I like but I cannot find them without a +40 offset. From my research it I don't see these having any fitment issues but I was curious if there are any significant performance or maintenance issues I would have with the increased offset. I don't plan on spending any time on a track, its purely a daily driver with no suspension modifications as of now.

Second question, if I were to pick up a pair of TSW wheels that were not forged, as long as I'm not whipping around a track or back roads at full speed I shouldn't have any issues with the weight of the SHO correct?

I appreciate the help in advance.

I was in the wrong thread, I apologize for the bump of the old thread! Thought it was the Show me your wheels thread on the front page. My fault.

Wheels have a load rating. For example the TSW Bardo 20x8.5 ET40 is rated at 1980lbs while the Nurburgring which is rotary forged is rated at 1650. Many factors go into this manufacturing technic is only one of them.
