AFAIK, people have used OEM/Motorcraft, a few have used Timken. OEM doesn't seem to last very long, no idea on Timken longevity. I hear if you can get SKF bearings they have the lowest return rate in the industry. May be worth a try.

For the 2010:

FRONT & REAR
Install a new wheel hub nut.
  • Tighten to 350 Nm (258 lb-ft).

I got sick of having to replace the OEM Ford wheel bearings on my car after I had 3 failures. I went ahead an replaced all 4 with Timken. Fuel economy instantly went up and no issues with them in the last 40k miles. Highly suggest Timken aftermarket and not Ford wheel bearings.

Is this a problem, I have a 2012 with 5ok so is this something I should be concerned about. When I bought the car I didn't see anything on the Carfax about them being replace. I don't drive the car that much but it is a road trip car so do any of you think this is something I should do as a preventive maintenance. I see from abs99 that Timken is a good brand any others out there and how much do they usually cost. LOL I seem to have a lot of questions today, I just never thought if this as an issue. Hope your having a great day.

How many of you that had low milage repeat failures torqued the axle nut to spec with no weight on the bearing?

Just curious.
