It's located on the back of the driver's rear seat w/ a wiring harness connecting to it.
I need to know what this thing is to determine if I can remove it.

Do you mean that it is behind the BACK seat in the trunk on the driver's side? If so, it is either the remote/delayed entry module/autolamp module.

Yes.... I meant behind the back seat of driver's side. Remote/delayed entry=keyless entry  I know I don't have a keyless entry (numeric keypad) that came stock with car. So... it must be the autolamp module?

The little unit behind the back seat on the driver's side inside the trunk is the module that controls keyless entry using the push buttons on the driver's door. Sometimes they have a 5 digit number on a sticker, that is the keyless entry number. Dunno why they would leave the unit in there without installing the keypad tho...

If there is no keypad or remote, then the module is the interior illumination/delayed entry illumination module.
