Whats a good chip for the Gen 3 SHO?

My dad has a 1998 SHO and after seeing how my Ted B LPM performed he wondered what offerings there are for V8SHO's. He doenst want neck snapping shifts like my car since my mom drives it most of the time so that is a key note.

K&N filters do improve flow. But the oil on the filter migrates to the hot wire in the MAF and causes a lean shift. We recommend a good paper element filter, but if you insist on using one, clean your MAF on a regular basis with electrical contact cleaner. Never touch the wire on the MAF.

Is this true? If so, has anyone ever done this on a regular basis?

I clean the MAF wires when I clean the filter. About once a year or so. Just a good dousing with a non-residue contact cleaner will do.
