well my car has been running sluggish lately so i took it in to the shop they checked my fuel pressure at the rails key on car off .. i get 28-30.. and it takes 10 seconds to get it up to that ..key on car running it reads 30-33 and it takes 7 seconds to get to that .. the feul pump and filter are a year old wheather the quality is good or not i dunno ..the regulater is stock ....what could cause this i do not think these numbers are correct for it to run healthy.. the shop told me it was either the pump/filter or the fuel pressure regulator ... my question is what is the fuel pressure supposta be at ? and whitch part do you think i should fix ...:oogle: please help :oogle:

I'd change the filter since it's only $10 and see if it improves. If not you're most likely looking at another pump.

I agree changing the fuel filter this time around. Also, I usually put in a container of fuel injector cleaner every other oil change. I don't know, it is just me...peace of mind. Good Luck.

If it's not the filter...

If it's not the filter, something must be plugged/crimped. I would visually inspect every inch of fuel line.

Thinking outside the box....
I might be way off but if one or more injectors is stuck in the "on" position, that might make the car run sluggish. It might also cause a loss in pressure. On my hunch, check the exhaust, does it smell like raw gas?

well i had changed the fuel filter it was clean though ... i looked at the lines they all look good .. i have noticed my pump whining alot it comes and goes .. i think its time to get yet another pump ... has any one used a master pump before .. any part numbers/ brands you all recomend ?
