I guess I'm the odd one. I saw that the end of the tunnel wasn't a light but a painted wall. I didn't want to put any more money into something that had such a hard limit so low. I pulled the eject button before I spent more than what the car was worth to be running on borrowed time.

I'm not a diehard fan of any model I guess. I just like to go fast reliable and have the limit set far enough away that I can't hit it with a years overtime.

That being said, I enjoy carnage as well as people achieving their own goals. So spend it and send it!
Yeah, I've definitely gone WAY down the rabbit hole on mine. I cringe at how much I've spent to get where I'm at, especially when I just saw a 2020 Explorer ST break into the 11s with only a drop in filter and an e50 tune

The ability to run more ethanol is definitely the key. E30 was max on my SHO and it sometimes ran lean for my taste. Now I'm running e85 and its pulling fuel on my stft. This means plenty of room for mods!

Its funny you mention the new explorer, if they made an RS version I was going to buy one, but the ST just wasn't enough for me.
I've been following the mods and dynos though and it is impressive for that platform.

Yeah, I'm in the middle of changing over to e85 myself

Not going to lie, I have been paying attention as well.
