What to use for spark plugs and wires?

Aside from stock motorcraft plugs and wires, what have all of you used for plugs and wires on your sho and had good luck with? Thanks for your input and info !

Autolite double platinum, or fine wire Motorcraft for the plugs. Most sets of wires you find will work fine.

The ones on my car right now SUCK at keeping water/debris out of the plug wells. I've had quite a few misfire problems in the last few months because of them. I'll try to remember to check what brand they are after I get out of work.

Taylor or Motorcraft.. The Autolite wires on the 92 I had just picked up are only a year old, and are already garbage.

I use Autolite wires. Identical to OE minus that funny wrap stuff. and motorcraft or autolite plugs

lots of times this happens not because of the wires but because non-Motorcraft plugs are installed. the Motorcraft plugs are designed to a Japanese spec, not a SAE spec, so the non-Motorcraft plugs are too long. this makes the wire end not sit down against the valve cover, therefore it does not seal, therefore you get junk in your plug wells.

AC Delco wires with the Motorcraft FW plugs. 20,000+ miles and running great!

Hmm interesting. I have Autolite APP3924 plugs in there, maybe that's the problem. I think I may have come up with a fix already, though. I scored some "scrap" expanded PTFE gasket material at work and punched out a few donuts to make a tighter seal between the plug wire "cone" and the valve cover, and it seems to be working so far. Thanks for the info on plugs, though.

I had Taylors, and they are trash. Kept having to replace them once a year. James (St. Louis SHO) suggested Autozone Duralast wires, and guess what? They are great, and have a lifetime warranty. For plugs I'm using Motorcraft.

I spoke too soon. Misfired all the way in to work today. Two of my donuts worked, but one didn't.

once the boots have started to short through the water/oil to the head, they will continue to do so under load even after you have cleaned up the mess. so, you will need to replace wires.

I bought mine from o'riellys, there 8mm plopped right in no gaps, and cost a wopping 41 dollars...oh and motorcraft plugs...
