Do I have to grease the outside portion of the TOB quill sleeve?

Also, I opted to go with the teflon impregnated TOB release shaft bushing upgrade. Should I grease the inside of those also?

Thanks in advance!

The SHO NUT website says the following regarding the teflon bushings:

When installing these, be sure to lubricate them with silicone caliper slider pin grease, such as Motorcraft WA-10.

There should already be some white grease applied, but the contact points between the shift fork and the throwout bearing are also greased. Make sure the outer quill sleeve, pressure plate finger tips and throwout bearing contact ring that touches the pressure plate fingers are cleaned with solvent to remove any lubricants or impurities. Also grease the tip of the shift shaft lever where the clutch cable attaches.

The TOB should come with grease on the ears. Do not grease the bearing or quill. My bad, as I didn't read that you are not using the plastic pin.

As clintonk said, grease the teflon bushing, I wouldn't go crazy with the grease though.

Sorry for the confusion.

when i bought my clutch set from A-Z, the TOB was the redesigned version. it came wrapped in paper (dont recall what they wrap bearings in) with a dab of grease on the ears and grease on the inside (quill surface) of the TOB.

if you install the redesigned bearing without the quill sleeve, id rather have *something* on the quill cause replacing a transmission case halve because of excessive quill wear isnt fun.
