What to do? No Tensioners available.

I am (my mechanic and I) in the middle of replacing the water pump,timing belt, etc.etc..Front Of Motor Service. Stealer (dealer) tells me that the TB Pulleys and Tensioner are "DISCONTINUED" and are unavailable. OK...I need to replace the TB Idler and Tensioner Pulleys What Now? can't find any at a reasonable price. Genuine Ford Parts has one but can't get it delivered to me until ????? Has anyone run into this problem? Can the Bearings be replaced in the Pulleys? Help?

The ones on SNP are for the accessory pulleys.

There's a couple of ATX T-belt tensioners out there, but they are around $145! As for the pulleys, I don't know. Are you sure they need replacement or is the mechanic just recommending that they be changed?

He just recommends that we replace them. Found one at GenuineFordparts.com
for $80 but I think I'll just use the old T-belt Tensioners and Pulleys.
Ford recommends replacing them every 100K too, But none of the Dealers in this area carry the parts to replace them....seems a little odd...maybe they no longer stock them because nobody really needs them. I've only got 107K on my 93 SHO.
and Thank You for clarifying the Pulleys for me...I might have bought something I didn't really need.

Best bet is to reuse them, considering that they are still good.
