I have 245/45/ZR17 Goodyear Eagle F1's. They are unbelievable in the dry, they just flat out stick. Side to side on curvy roads, they really hold a tight grip on the tarmac. Straight line performance is also great. They bite quite nicely after a quick burn/scrape, with a 3k clutch pop.

In the rain, they are very good too. Not as good as the Pirelli P7000 SS's I had, but they are good.

Snow traction, I wouldn't even attempt it.

Winter tires are Bridgestone Blizzaks. I can't imagine a tire performing better than in the snow than these. Better than having 4 wheel drive!

Spring/Summer/Fall tires are Dunlop SP Sport 4000 A/S. I have yet to make these tires break loose on dry pavement cornering, even when taking a 30mph rated freeway ramp at 70mph! Super quiet tire too.

I just got a set of Bridgestone Potenza RE750 225-55 WR16 on slicers. I don't even have 100 miles on them yet but I like them so far. If they handle half as well in the rain as the RE950s that my wife has I will be happy thumb

225/40/18 Capitol Negotiators. Handling is 8 of 10. Price is 10 of 10. But treadwear is a 5 of 10.

Witch City, baby! Salem,
Kuhmo Ecsta Supra 712s in 225/50/16...

Quite impressive in both wet and dry from 45 to 85 degrees, (temp). Much better turn in than my stock basketweave/tire combo. And the best part is I only paid something like $300 shipped for all four. Price that size, the $$ is untouchable. Tirerack is almost always going to be your cheapest option, and I got mine in 2 days.

Potenza RE950 from bridgstone (I think)...I love em! Great wet, dry, don't know about the snow. They look good too. thumb around 450 for the set mounted. (15")
Same here...

But I am not impressed with the wet traction squint
But then again, Ive never driven my SHO with any other tires shrug so... maybe the wet traction is pretty good shrug

Excellent handling and dry traction though thumb and very quiet wink

Pirelli P7000 SuperSports 225/55-16 on slicers.
Great rain tire. Good dry tire; a little squirmy now that the suspension has been tightened up.

The stickiest tire I've had on the car were BFG Comp/TA 225/55-16. Total gumballs, but wore out after about 10,000 miles.

I think I'm going to try a 17" setup when the Pirellis wear out and the big brakes go on.

BFG G-Force KDWS. Have a new set of KDW to go on after I do some mods this summer.

I ran through two sets of Comp T/As that were great. I think I got about 20k mi out of each.

Being bias formerly working at a Bridgestone dealer, I would have to say either the 950s, 730s. These are awesome tires. They also are designed to not lose treadability, or water channeling capabilities as they wear. My roomate has a set of 950s, says he lost 2 mpg, but his last tires were bald as %$^& so I told him that was going to happen. But other than that.. he loves them. I have the 730s, love them.

I am on my second consecutive set of Bridgestone RE-730s in the 225/55-16 size. They earned a repeat performance on my car due to their excellent dry and wet traction and good tread life (30,000 frisky miles). This is the 12th set of tires on this car and one of the best. Bridgestone has superceded the RE-730 with the RE-750. This new tire has advanced rubber compounding that doesn't lose as much wet traction as the tread wears and a resemblance to the awesome S-03 in the tread pattern. At the rate I use tires, that might be my replacement set next year.

I had the Yokohama ES-100 in the 235/45-17 size installed on my wife's 2000 Maxima SE. They are quite superior to the OEM all-season Bridgestone RE-92 in dry and wet traction. For the dollar, they are exceptional performers.

TVSHO:
BFG g-force comp TA KDWS 225/55WR-16 on stock slicers. $102/ea at tirerack.
Excellent all around, all-season performance tire. No problems in dry and significantly better than I expected in rain, snow and ice. We got several snow and ice storms this past winter in Charlotte and the tires never once felt like they'd put me into a guardrail! Best set of tires my SHO has had in it's 120K mile life.

I run the same tires on my 95 ATX, really great tires, but at 12K miles, they are really starting to get near the end of their life span. A bit too soon for me. I've been considering putting them on the Mustang and see how they do with it.

I'm just finishing up a set of these, and will have a set of KDW to go on next on 16x8 wheels, and will probably get a second set of the KDWS to keep on the slicers. They've lasted a bit more than a year, but that's daily driver stuff plus seriously flogging them at about a half-dozen road course events. They absolutely rock on a road course in the rain, unbelievable. I had BMW and Porsche folks inspecting my tires after a couple of sessions in the wet.

If you want to run track events on a very low budget (i.e., use your street tires) I'd recommend these highly. They're very sticky for a relatively long-life street tire and hold up at the track extremely well. The KDW is a bit stickier but has treadware of 220 vs 400 for the KDWS IIRC (this can be looked up easily).

225/50ZR-16 Dunlop SP-8000 Good in the dry and wet not as sticky as the BF Goodrich Comp/TA that I had the same size before. The BFG were gone at 20K. The Dunlops have about 15K and are getting close to the wear bars.

WINTER:
Blizzaks, period.

Summer:
89: 215/65-15 Yokohama AVS-I, not terribly crazy about them on the 15" weaves. Cheap ($40 ea)

95: 225/55-16 BFG G-Force KDW; love these tires, but they do not wear very well, especially with any track use. Also fairly expensive ($168 for a new one locally in May)

Oh yeah, I've had Pirelli P7000 Supersports, which were FANTASTIC tires on the street, in 235/45-17, and the Toyo Proxes in the same size which were loud & didn't have the grip of the Pirelli's.
91: currently 235/45-17 BFG G-Force KDW; see above; purchased new for $192 ea., currently a little cheaper on The Rack.

Will be getting Kumho MX tires for the 91, in either 255/45-17 (preferred) or 245/45-17. I would have loved the Nitto 555R-2 that's come out, but it's only in 275/40-17 right now.

Well I have 4 AVS-I's that I bought not too long ago, with less than 5k on them, mounted on weaves - won't need them now that the 89's being parted. Slip me $150 & 2 spare tires to roll the chassis out & the wheels & tires are yours. Not shipping. :)
