alright so i was driving down a main street this morning on my way to school. i was doing around 35-40, after i stopped at the light and continued i was halfway down the street when the battery light came on. MY CAR STALLED! funny thing is its an automatic. so i pulled over and turned the car off. waited five minutes and started it back up. it was ran fine afterwards. i never knew autos could stall, has this happened to anyone else?

...or the vacuum line going to the PCV valve? The one right behind the throttle body? Mine's been broke for a while, and every so often, it'll spring a leak, causing the car to die, then start right back up.
thats what i thought it was but every time it stalled, i would start it back up then itll be fine for a few minutes and die again and repeat.
aight ill give that a try tomorrow after school. rather not risk it stalling on the highway lol.

Replace your crank and cam sensor. They are cheap. Cam sensor takes like 5 minutes.
agree with him , it's much cheaper than coils...but check the connections on the master fuse box, could be something little..

so last week my #6 coil went on me. now its the #8 coil. so so far this week ive only drivin the SHO once and its sitting at FORD now which is where it died. ive shoveled out 800 bucks just this week alone.

what did you search for on ebay for the coils. i think the coils are going on my fiance's 96.
i just went to autozone and got a few of them for $71 each and installed them myself.

Mine did this becuse of bad crank and cam sensor
Change them. It worked for me. Actually all I did at first was change the cam sensor and it worked. Had the engine tore down while doing a cam weld and replaced the crank sensor as well.

You need the easy payment plan. Buy 4 and put them in the back, buy 4 more and put them in the front. The OEM coils do not hold up as well as the newer after markets or even the newer Ford ones.

My original 8 are still in and going strong. I suspect when one starts to go, I will just replace them all, though.

I have Wells but I don't think there are that many different aftermarket ones. I have a dozen or so new coils and some are Motorcraft and some are Wells and some are ?. There appears to be only two different designs and very little change between those two. All have a slight difference from the originals.
