Or... Name that part.

I was cleaning out my airbox today and happened across this piece just rattling around in fron the airbox. What is it? It looks like it should be secured to something.

That's what I think too. Notice it says made in the U.K. Mine said Lucas Electronics made in U.K. No wonder it quit working. Damn British electronics.

Question: Why do the British drink warm beer?

Answer: Because Lucas makes refrigerators.

A little know fact: The British had the capability of putting a man on the moon in 1964. The only problem was the rocket had Smiths instruments and Lucas electricals and they couldn't find anyone who would fly it. headbang

The only English car I have owned was made by AC. it had a combination of Stewart Warner and Lucas. A real nightmare.

I had a 73 Triumph Spitfire. Great little car. Lousy electrics. Had a turning diameter of 24 feet outside to outside. When you turned the steering wheel to the locks, it looked like the front end had snapped off your car. We could parallel park in a space that was only 18" longer than the car.

My mom owns a 74 triumph spitfire that has been sitting for 3-4 years in need of a steering knuckle. Did/do you have a source for locating parts for them? Fun car, but worse to work on and find parts than an SHO... that is bad :p
