Im getting very fustrated on this. Im trying to fix my sho, and have a car I always wanted. Only thing left to do after the complete brake job is those damn V/c Gaskets. Well I thought it was a T30 and it seems loose, after finding this out almost stripping 2 of them. Well now I dont wanna screw anymore up so now I wanna know what size they are. T40 is too big. Somewon told me that they make a T35 or T37, if thats the case , thats the size. But I got to sears, Autozone and they both dont have them??? Help me out guys. And also, how do it get those out if they are stripped???

5mm Allen wrench should get-r-done

just be carefull when re-torqing them down, i think 11ft/lbs is the max..otherwise you can strip the threads in the heads..

Actually you'll break the bolts. They're pretty soft, so the heads don't get messed up.

You mean so it can break in the head and make your easy out snap in the stud so you can go buy another head, right? ;)

Book says...

8-11 foot pounds. Sounds like if you started off at the low end, working your way up only if necessary you'd be OK.

Mine broke off really high, so I just used vice grips to remove it from the head.

Did yours?

Go with the 8 ft/lbs on those bolts. There are alot of people (like me) who snapped one of these using 11 ft/lbs. Snug not tight.
