what size offset on 8" wide rims?!

i need to know what size offset i would need on an 8" wide rims. stock the sho is about 20mm right? (thats what i measured) and on 17" rims you'd want 36mm or so, right? how about 8" wide rims? or am i way off. lol

i believe 38 or 40mm, but i am not sure which. with the 8" wide it should be exact so there isn't any rubbing. so i am pretty much useless, but i got it down to a 3mm span, so thats something.

I am running 37mm on my 95's 17x7.5" wheels with no issues, and the stock 16's are 42mm, I believe. Just questioning the 38-42mm range on that wide of a wheel. I don't know, so it could be correct. You may want to test-fit or get a measuring kit first.

My 17 x 8.0" wide rims are 40mm offset and I run a 245/45-17 tire. Very close on the rear strut tower, but no problem with the rear sheet metal. Fronts are fine, but look as if they stick out on the forward edge due to the fact that the sheet metal narrows as it moves forward toward the rounded bumper.

I have 18x8 with 40mm offset the closer to 45mm the betta b/c thats the stock slicer offset. And the width of rims should not affect the offset you choose, only choose the offset which is closest to stock.
