what size is the best?

I ran 225/60/16s on both my G3 and G2 with 6.5" wide rims. They will rub the strut tower perches on bumps in the G2. On both cars they noticable decreased acceleration performance.

I run 225/55/16 on my Gen 2, I am running 225/60/16 on my 1G and I have to say im going with 55's when it comes time for new tires on the 1G

i run 225's

I run 225/60/16 on my stock slicers and they look good to me. Nice and fat with alot of contact surface to the road. Handles great and rides nice. NO bumping or rubbing at all. :woo-hoo:

FWIW:
215/65/16 = 26.9"dia
225/60/16 = 26.6"dia
225/55/16 = 25.7"dia = Speedo error!

I don't know what you are comparing things to, but the standard tire on my 1991 SHO was P215/60R16 which is spec'd as follows:

215/60R16 = 26.1"

So this would make the 225/55/16 = 25.7"dia as the closest match with the LEAST speedo error. *Referenced from www.tirerack.com
