What happens when your car die?

My car died on me yesterday as I was turning into the parking lot. The battery is fine all the conections are fine so what else could it be? Oh and I waited about 15 min. and then it started back up again and then I went about two mile and it died and again and I waited about 10-15min. and it started up again...could that be the cps or what? shrug

Very possible cps.

Well I don't have a bulb where my check engine light goes so I can't check codes...you think I could go to autozone and they can check for me? And also if it is the cps is it easy to fix and how much money am I looking at and from where can I get it from?

Is there a chime? Do the lights turn on when it dies? Is there any power whatsoever?

With no CEL light bulb, you will need to use a meter (or fix the bulb) or an old style code scanner. Otherwise, call your local AZ store and ask if they can read OBD-I (one) codes. MOst have only OBD-II scanners.

Don't go buying any parts until you understand the reason for your car's problems. If you do, don't whine when you guess wrong.

No I'm not going to buy any parts right now which is why I'm coming on here to see what people have to tell me. And all the power is there, it does evrything but crank...when it dies. I heard of it being the cps when your car dies like that but I don't know. I would like to get some more input from y'all to see what everybody else has to say.
