Looking at a craigslist add and here it is..

1997 Ford Taurus V8 SHO
Welded Camshaft (Many of the V8 SHOs have camshaft problems if not welded)
Runs and Drives
Car has an electrical problem causing several of the electrical accessories to not work unless the ignition key is turned to the accessories position.(windshield wipers, radio, climate control, etc.) The ford dealership thought the problem was the ignition switch. I replaced it myself and it didn't solve the problem. I have been told that a new gem module might fix it also. The odometer is not correct due to the electrical problem. I believe the car has around +/- 200,000 miles on it. Car shows the wear and tear that you would expect for the miles/age. Cash Only. Email me you name and phone number if interested.

Would you stay clear?
