It's a very simple process to get clear bezels like Jason's:

1) get hit by another car
2) get the body shop to fix it

Sorry Jay! :)

Don't get me wrong Kevin - I'm not saying your car's toast, just offering a possible worst-case alternative.

Fred...always the punk-wiseguy, eh? :)

Yes..the one in the photo is about 10 months old. Plus the car has never seen winter, therefore they both remain fairly clean. There is a good techniques on www.shotimes.com that tells you how to clean them. It works well on my previous 1992 SHO. Give it a try before purchasing new ones.

Could he have toasted the differential pins. I know sometimes these can snap easily. Thats what the ford dealer said when I had them replaced as a precautionary. The probes had more problems with them going i guess.

I just got back to the forum this evening however, my son, who destroyed the trans, has been on looking for advice as to how to fix my(our) SHO. I just wanted to say, after having read this thread, thanks to Mans442 for the offer to stop by. I would have been back to you sooner but with three boys and a weekend, my time is limited. Anyway, your offer was very kind and I'm sorry we didn't hook up. My son is weighing his options with a trans and I would like to thank all who have responded.P.S I think I will get my son to register in his own name and take up the cause himself.
