ok today i went to start the car after it sat overnight and it would turn over fine and just wouldn't even try to start.. i noticed i did not here fuel pump coming on and remembered that i can ground out the EEC diagnostic plug to run the fuel pump.. i tested the fuel valve to confirm no fuel pressure with a screw driver first and sure enough no fuel pressure.. i then turned on the switch grounded out the fuel pump port and it took a second but the fuel pump then kicked on. i ungrounded it and got in to crank it and she fired right up. drove it all day around town made a few stops it never acted up again.

WHAT WOULD CAUSE THIS?

a. bad ground?
b. fuel pump starting to go?
c. problem with the relay maybe?

i figure someone on here will know this answer all to well..

thanks guys!

Maybe it is the terrible wet weather. You electrical connection at the tank has 4 pins and the far right pin is the ground. If you had the time and could find some dry ground, you could lower the back of the tank enough to unclip this connector and put in some new grease around the inside rim of this connector.
Maybe cut the hole in the floor while you are at it, so the next time it does this, you are half way there towards fixing it.

It's probably just a flaky relay in the CCRM. If it happens again, give the CCRM a whack to see if the problem goes away.
